Frequently Asked Questions
-
Which formats are supported?
Input — anything FFmpeg decodes (MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OPUS, WMA, and more). Output — MP3, WAV, OGG Vorbis, M4A (AAC), FLAC, and OPUS.
-
Does this upload my audio?
No. Conversion uses FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, running entirely in your browser. Your audio never leaves your device.
-
Why is the first conversion slow to start?
The FFmpeg WASM core (around 31 MB) downloads on first use and is then cached in your browser. Subsequent conversions skip the download and start immediately.
-
Is there a file size limit?
Practical limit is your browser's memory — typically 1–2 GB on desktop, 200–500 MB on mobile. For very long files, consider trimming first.
