Your data never leaves your deviceFrequently Asked Questions
-
Which kind of PDF forms are supported?
Standard AcroForm fields — text boxes, checkboxes, radio-button groups, dropdowns, and signature widgets. XFA forms (older Adobe LiveCycle format) are detected and blocked with an explanatory message, because they can only be filled inside Adobe Acrobat. Most modern PDFs use AcroForm.
-
What does "flatten" do?
Flattening bakes the filled values into the page content, so the output is no longer editable and looks identical in every PDF reader. It is on by default — most people share a form to deliver the filled version, not to let the receiver re-edit it. Untick "Keep fields editable" to flatten; leave it on to preserve editability.
-
How are signature fields filled?
Click "Place signature" on the signature widget to open the signature creator (draw, type, or upload a transparent PNG). The chosen signature is drawn into the widget rectangle on apply. It is a visual signature — not a cryptographic digital signature.

Where does my file go?
Nowhere. The PDF is loaded, enumerated, filled, and exported entirely in your browser via pdf-lib and pdfjs-dist. Nothing is uploaded.
